Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is looking for an experienced Recruiting Coordinator for our Houston office. At Gibson Dunn, the Recruiting Coordinator plays a critical role for the office and for the firm in supporting attorney talent acquisition. The focus of this exempt position will be on campus recruiting at premier law schools, the Summer Program, judicial clerk and lateral attorney recruiting. The Recruiting Coordinator will report to the firm wide Chief Recruiting Officer and work closely with the Houston Hiring Partner as well as attorneys on the various committees. The person in this role will coordinate the Houston office’s legal recruitment efforts, including, but not limited to, the following:
Plan and manage the office’s overall recruitment efforts, including summer, new, and lateral associate recruiting.
Play an integral role in the Houston office’s recruitment leadership and team.
Act as a liaison to summer associates and also career services offices at select law schools.
Suggest, plan, and attend summer program events.
Arrange and coordinate the on-campus interview logistics for the office’s assigned schools and firm-wide interview teams.
Coordinate diversity recruiting efforts
Prepare and track annual departmental budget
Coordinate and run hospitality suites for the office’s assigned schools.
Direct all aspects of candidate visits and callback interviews.
Organize follow-up dinners and other events for the office’s assigned schools.
Plan and facilitate annual academic events and activities, including diversity, for the office’s assigned schools.
Maintain recruiting records.
Support offer extension process and correspond with candidates who have offers.
Coordinate orientation for new associates.
Attend the annual national Hiring Committee Spring Meeting.
Attend Houston Association of Legal Administrators (HALRA) meetings and events.
Work with legal search consulting agencies on lateral associate hiring
Other duties as assigned.

This position requires a minimum of three years legal recruiting experience. A four-year college degree is required.
