K&L Gates seeks to hire a Talent Coordinator to be located in the firm’s Washington, DC office. The position is part of the Human Resources department’s Talent team and provides support to both Legal Recruiting and Professional Development efforts. The Coordinator will be part of a regional recruitment team responsible for non-partner lawyer hiring for our offices located in the Mid-Atlantic region, including DC, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Wilmington, as well as various firmwide initiatives in both legal recruitment and professional development.
Talent Acquisition – Law Student and Lateral Associate: Coordinate scheduling candidate interviews; coordinate candidate travel arrangements and expense reimbursements; assist in producing all necessary correspondence related to recruiting efforts; assist with the preparation, coordination and scheduling of on-campus and job fair interviews; process resumes received from candidates, placement firms, and referrals; maintain recruitment database and all recruitment and candidate files.
Summer Associate Program: Coordinate all events, including orientation, training programs and social events; assist with tracking of summer associate assignments and evaluations; attend summer associate events as necessary; coordinate the production of necessary correspondence related to the program.
Talent Management: Coordinate pre-arrival and onboarding details for new lawyers including but not limited to bar examination and review course fees, stipend and advance payments, orientation programs and new hire paperwork. Assist with the Annual Review Process for non-partner lawyers.
Learning & Professional Development: Assist with Summer and First Year Associate curriculum and Legal Practice Institute programs, including serving as On-Site Coordinator for the Washington, DC office; assist with production, formatting and distribution of course materials for firm-wide CLE programs; assist with scheduling and day-of event coordination for in-house programs; assist with tracking program registrations and coordinate attendee lists with offices across the firm.
Ideal candidate will have two to four years of experience in talent acquisition, talent management, or training and development, preferably in a law firm or other professional services industry.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule that will require periodic overtime, especially during the summer months
Must be highly proficient with MS Office; PeopleSoft or other HRIS/applicant data tracking system
