The Associate Registrar will be involved in a wide range of student services duties and responsibilities for Law School. Provides assistance to the Registrar, faculty, and students in academic advising, scheduling, records, and related programs.
•Develops summer and hybrid LLM schedule of classes in consultation with the Assistant Dean for Academic Planning and Curriculum Coordination. •Develops and maintains course scheduling information application and coordinates faculty and curriculum needs with room availability to provide the best scheduling options for maximum student accessibility to key courses. •Coordinates class schedule with EMS systems. •Sets up and maintains online class schedule and course and class information in CS. •Resolves issues from central campus auditing reports. •Provides back-up to academic year scheduler as needed in developing and administering academic year schedule. •Provides student services in the following areas: Advises faculty and students of Law School procedures, policies and deadlines. •Possesses detailed and specialized knowledge of the CalCentral enrollment process as it relates to law students. •Develops semester-specific review session calendars. Works closely with faculty to develop and implement a system to schedule make-up classes. •Manages non-Boalt student enrollments. •Works with ADP office to manage JSD enrollments, advancement, and graduation. •In consultation with Dean of Students, handles student withdrawal and re-enrollments. •Coordinates with central campus to ensure dates and associated fees are correct •Coordinates all registrar office aspects of new revenue generating initiatives.•Meticulous attention to detail. •Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. •Strong computer skills, with the ability to query campus databases, manipulate data, and create reports. •Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training •Strong interpersonal skills, including multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations with diplomacy, poise, and tact. •Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical thinking. •Excellent ability in problem identification, reasoning; ability to apply creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions within established policies and guidelines. •Ability to multi-task, strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills. •Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
