Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with almost 4000 lawyers and staff in 30 offices is seeking an Attorney Recruiting Manager reporting to the Firmwide Director of Attorney Recruiting. This position will reside in the Boston office and will be responsible for managing our associate and other non-partner attorney recruiting programs, including law student recruiting, lateral attorney hiring and the summer associate program for the Boston and Hartford, CT offices.
Working with the Firm and the Boston hiring partner and recruiting committee to develop, implement and manage recruiting strategies and programs in order to best present Morgan Lewis to candidates on campus;
Supervising local Attorney Recruiting Coordinators and Assistants, as well as other support staff indirectly.
Driving efforts to increase and improve firm visibility at targeted law schools;
Developing and fostering law school and search firm relationships;
Overseeing the interview process, communications, and databases;
Overseeing the management of the summer associate program, including social events, trainings, surveys, and evaluations;
Working with Boston practice group leadership to determine short term and long term attorney hiring needs;
Responsible for establishing, adhering to and maintaining the recruiting department budget for the Boston office.
Analyzing recruiting trends and implementing recruiting strategies to best directly source lateral candidates;
Ensuring compliance with the Firm's hiring policies and AAP guidelines;
Facilitating the successful integration of all new associates and other attorneys;
Assisting with the coordination of the attorney development and training programs, as well as the associate evaluation process; and other duties as assigned.
Working with the Firm Director of Attorney Recruiting on strategic projects and initiatives and supports various office and firm wide committees as assigned, including support of office affinity groups and community service projects.
Collaborating with a team of recruiters across our offices to ensure firm wide consistency and to share resourceful and creative programming.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five years of directly related experience, with at least two of which are in a supervisory capacity is preferred; the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Prior legal recruiting experience is required, including the demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of high-volume legal recruiting programs, including lateral attorney sourcing and hiring; law student on-campus recruiting; and the summer associate program and event planning.
Excellent creative, interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, organizational and communication skills.
This job requires occasional travel to other Morgan Lewis offices and law school campuses, particularly in the summer and fall.
This individual will also need to have the flexibility to work beyond the normal business hours, particularly during the summer and fall.
LawCruit or other applicant tracking system experience is preferred.
PLEASE NOTE: This position will also have management responsibilities for the Hartford, CT office, and must be able to travel between the Boston and Hartford locations.
