Stradley Ronon is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to join our technology team in our Philadelphia headquarters. Under the direction of the CIO, the Business Systems Analyst will act as an internal business and technology consultant to the firm’s practice groups, identifying opportunities to increase revenue, reduce expenses, attract and retain clients, and manage risk. The ideal candidate for this high visibility role will be a team player who will help lawyers deliver legal services better, faster, and less expensively, through optimized work processes and better use of existing and newer technologies.
The Business Systems Analyst will also function as a central point of intake for all technology-based innovation opportunities generated within the business. The Business Systems Analyst will document these opportunities and present them to Stradley’s leadership for evaluation.
Work closely with lawyers and staff to efficiently identify business problems, gather business requirements, optimize work processes, improve access to information, and leverage technology.
Help lawyers make better use of existing technology to deliver legal services better and faster.
Develop requirement documents, cost/benefit analyses, risk analyses, affinity charts and process / workflow diagrams, and identify opportunities for improvements.
Coordinate project meetings with business users, IT teams, and third party vendors.
Assist with technical configurations, design mockups, user testing, and project deployment.
Prepare and present status reports and case studies; track key metrics to show value / ROI and impact on client service; and manage timelines and budgets effectively
Continually seeks opportunities to interact with attorneys and staff to deepen those relationships.
5+ years of experience with process redesign, requirements definition and technology alignment.
Bachelor’s degree required, JD or MBA a plus.
Previous law firm experience required.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Access and SQL.
Solid understanding of application architecture, networking, and system designs.
Experience with defining business requirements and system selection and configuration.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
