Morrison & Foerster LLP, an Am Law 50 law firm with 16 offices worldwide, has an opening for an Application Operations Specialist within our Information Technology Department in ourSan Francisco office.
Guided by department objectives and priorities, manages, updates, assists in engineering, packaging and technical support for firm applications. The Application Operations Specialist will work closely with attorneys in different practice groups, paralegals, and support teams, as well as firm administrative departments including Library, Conflicts, Records, Docket, and Accounting to ensure system and process integration. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree plus 5 or more years of experience providing technical end user support in Microsoft client/server and web applications environments.
Prior law firm experience highly desirable.
Experience packaging using Altiris Wise, Powershell.
Experience in MSI, Windows Host Scripting and Visual Basis scripting language is a plus.
Experience documenting system processes and procedures in a clear manner.
Ability to perform quality assurance and testing for both client/server and web applications.
Ability to partner with both software development and software integration specialists and Firm business process owners.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Windows Workstation/Server, Microsoft Access, HTML/XML, and ASP/ASP.NET.
