The Jurado-Graham Law Firm, P.A. one of Kansas City’s fastest growing and busiest immigration law firms is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed attorney admitted in Missouri (or eligible for admission by Motion) for its high-volume practice. Our firm is in the River Market Area in the heart of the downtown of Kansas City. In this position, you will be an important member of our team. We have been expanding our immigration practice to a national level and we need you to help us grow. Our practice focuses on family immigration, U visas for victims of crime, domestic violence victims, removal defense and naturalization.
We are looking for an individual who can think outside-of-the-box. The ideal candidate must have a strong dedicated commitment to providing passionate representation for the immigrant community and civil rights issues. We are an established immigration firm in the Midwest that has been practicing immigration law for 10 years. Position will be filled at our Kansas City, Missouri office. No experience necessary, all are encouraged to apply. However, experience in the immigration legal field is considered a plus and will be reflected on starting salary.
Candidate will have their individual caseload-must be able to manage significant workload of active cases, prioritize, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment. Must also have strong legal research and writing skills. Must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and work independently. Must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and have excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English, we can work on your written Spanish but must be able to communicate in Spanish well; superior organizational skills; and strong interpersonal skills are required to be able to work well with clients and office staff. Candidate will also conduct initial consultations appear before the immigration court and USCIS office.
In addition to your case responsibilities you will be participating in business development and community presence activities such as CLE’s, public speaking engagements and leadership participation with AILA –American Immigration Lawyers Association.

While in Law School, Erika was the president of the Hispanic American Law Student Association, and two-term secretary of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy. Following her graduation, she established her own practice at the heart of the Immigrant Community in Kansas City, Kansas. Erika is licensed in Kansas, Missouri and the country of Mexico. Recently, the producers of “Aqui y Ahora,” a Univision national TV show, traveled to Kansas City to interview Erika for the documentary “Deportation, Inc.” Erika also has a weekly radio show at La X-1250 in Kansas City where she talks about current immigration law topics and provides the audience with general information.
