Wellstein Mora Rodriguez Intl. is seeking an attorney with experience in Immigration Law to join the WMR Immigration Law Group
Associate Attorney responsible for preparation of briefs in support of asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers of inadmissibility, and other benefits in removal. The Associate Attorney will represent individuals before Immigration Courts and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. Duties include preparation and/or review of factual and compelling affidavits, meeting with clients to prepare them for interviews and merit hearings, prepare appellate briefs, motions to reopen, and other common pleadings.
Bar admission, preferably in Virginia, Maryland or the District of Columbia.
At least 1 year of experience in Immigration Law (salary commensurate with experience)
Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
Familiarity with the roles of the various agencies within the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, Labor, and State involved in the adjudication or review of decisions on applications and petition for immigration benefits or that could result in immigration benefits.
Knowledge of the EOIR practice manual and the agency adjudication manuals.
Excellent communication skills, organized, and detail oriented.
Capable of using computer applications.
Spanish is preferred but not required.
