Maintaining, updating and distributing onboarding portals (iCIMS);
Maintaining new Associate Recruiting platform for incoming associates;
Compiling data maintained in class credit;
Creating charts to ensure new hire class years, assignment requests and conflicts are accurate for Managing Partners;
Sharing responsibility in leading one-off orientation sessions for new hires;
Tracking bar exam results from the Board of Law Examiners website;
Tracking bar admission for all lawyers and Foreign Associates;
Collecting and tracking certificates of good standing for New York and other State/Country admissions;
Preparing law related affidavits for admission to the bar;
Confirming if an attorney is in good standing and attorney registration is current;
Coordinating with the Human Resources department as it relates to new on-boarding processes, policy changes or implementation of any new practices for managing personnel, as appropriate;
Reviewing and analyzing different sections of the Legal Personnel budget on a monthly basis;
Becoming proficient in the Firm policies and procedures as they relate to lawyers;
Documenting various Legal Personnel processes and procedures;
Developing a thorough understanding of Firm Databases (e.g., PeopleSoft, Onboarding Portal, Survey Monkey, Cvent and Associate Recruiting);
Processing new hire online searches for Human Resources;
Assisting with recruiting efforts including, but not limited to, Super Saturdays, hospitality suites, lunch calls and online searches as necessary; and
Performing other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required and 3-4 years of applicable work experience, preferably within a law firm environment;
Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal and communication skills paired with a service-oriented attitude;
Ability to interact effectively and harmoniously with attorneys and staff at all levels of the Firm;
Ability to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion;
Ability to exercise good judgment;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Strong organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail;
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities;
Ability to work under pressure; and
Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
