The Lateral Recruiting Coordinator will be supporting Business Services and Associate Attorney recruiting and will work closely with the Lateral Recruiting Manager on all aspects of the lateral recruiting process, including liaising with hiring managers for specific roles, sourcing candidates internally and externally, liaising with external search firms and managing direct applicants from our direct advertising.
They will be expected to manage the recruiting process, including candidate intake and evaluation, and providing feedback to each candidate in a professional and timely manner. They are also responsible for the coordination of the recruitment process for internal mobility candidates and employee referrals.
Candidates for this role should have a strong recruiting background including highly developed organizational skills. Legal recruitment experience, or at least experience working in a partnership or professional services environment, is preferred.
Duties and Accountabilities
Recruitment Process Management:
Work with hiring managers to draft job descriptions, obtain required hiring approvals, create requisitions in our internal tracking software and post finalized role
Ensure all approved roles are advertised internally and on external careers site and vacancies are recorded accordingly
Source candidates via Web advertising, referrals, networking, databases, etc.
Serve as an initial screen for all candidate applications
Build, develop and maintain our in-house candidate database and workflow products
Contact and schedule interviews for prospective candidates and retain thorough records of all communications
Manage the candidate and job tracking database by updating candidate status, preparing offer letters, initiating and managing the post-offer and onboarding process.
Coordinate with the immigration team regarding visas and work authorizations
Assist with tracking regular data on recruitment activity, including number of roles filled, whether by agency, referral, internally or directly sourced methods, cost savings via direct recruitment, and new initiatives to attract candidates
Client Relationship management:
Build and maintain internal relationships with the various client groups, particularly hiring managers
Maintain agency relationships, including providing prompt feedback and monitoring submissions and communications
Facilitate communication channels between Line Management, vendors and Recruitment team
Provide regular market information from both internal and external sources
Process and Procedure:
Ensure ATS is accurate and up to date at all times
Be adept at producing and developing regular and meaningful management information reporting
Implement simple, effective and trackable resourcing, record keeping and administration processes.
Participate in global/regional/office project teams as requested.
Participate in meetings related to the activities of the Recruiting department or related projects.
Contribute to team effort through communication, cooperation and coordination with other team members.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing related professional publications.
Maintain the practice of continuous improvement and education by reviewing industry publications and keeping current on new leadership skills.
Exercise professional judgment and confidentiality.
Maintain professional and comfortable interaction with all levels of attorneys and staff.
Uphold firm, departmental and team rules and procedures.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Lateral Recruiting Manager.
