Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, California’s premier public sector employment and labor law firm, seeks an experienced and motivated Applications Specialist & Technology Trainer to join our firm. This is a newly created position in the firm’s IT Department and presents a great opportunity to help establish and define this key role. There are two primary responsibilities for this position:
Help design and support the firm’s standard desktop and applications.
Create and deliver application training programs for the firm’s attorneys and staff.
These responsibilities support the overall objective of the position: act as a subject matter expert on all firm applications to ensure and promote optimization, and ensure attorneys and staff possess the necessary software skillsets to perform the core functions of their jobs in service of the firm’s clients.
Optimize applications according to firm standards and best practices and ensure user compliance throughout the enterprise.
Maintain, administer and troubleshoot all desktop applications including applying updates, installing upgrades, and configuration optimization and compliance.
Work with IT Director and department managers to identify user training priorities and strategies for learning, retention and skills assessment.
Create, edit and deliver training videos, intranet resources, quick reference guides and other similar deliverables to support user training and retention.
Conduct desk-side coaching and classroom-style training for local and remote office users.
Design and deliver a comprehensive technical orientation and applications training program for new employees.
Assist with SharePoint administration and content maintenance.
Work with IT staff to coordinate and organize internal IT department documentation.
Assist with Help Desk coverage where needed and requested.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of related technical support experience, preferably in a law firm.

Microsoft Office Suite 2010/2016/Office 365
iCreate, iHyperstyles, iDoc ID for Word
PDF technologies (Acrobat, PDF Converter, editing, customizing)
Digital Dictation (BigHand Hub, Philips SpeechExec)
Mimecast, ShareFile, iScrub and other email add-on apps.
Highly proactive, solution-oriented, customer-service approach to IT projects and support.
Excellent communication, organization and writing skills.
Strong sense of situational awareness, accountability and effective independent judgment.
