LEC Program Assistant
The Law & Economics Center of the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School is a national center for research and education that focuses on the timely and relevant economic analysis of legal and public policy issues. To fulfill its education mission, the LEC provides dynamic training programs in law and economics to sophisticated audiences including judges, academics, lawyers, government authorities and staff members, and state attorneys general and their senior staff. The LEC has an opening for a LEC Program Assistant.
This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the LEC’s Educational Programs.
Responsibilities include assisting with:
Database development and management
Event marketing and recruiting
Program coordination and management
Management of event timelines and task lists
Providing customer service for program participants and speakers
Preparation of event materials
On-site program management
Processing of event expenses and reimbursement
Administrative support for program director
This position requires strong computer and internet research skills. It also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
A bachelor’s degree and event management experience
Public Policy or legal environment experience
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
