Our Director of IT is the senior technology position within the firm, reporting to our Executive Director. We view the Director of IT position as a strategically important, senior leadership position. Our Director is responsible for planning, leading, developing, and implementing the firm's technology strategy and direction.

Our Director of IT works closely and consultatively with firm leadership, our engaged Technology Committee, and all personnel to apply and exploit both technology and business process best practices.
Effective technology and interpersonal skills are paramount, as are strong listening skills, and the ability to respond decisively to internal and external client needs spanning our legal practice and subsidiaries.
BA or BS degree. Master’s Degree related to technology or MBA is a plus.
Ten (10) plus years of progressive leadership and broad-based information technology management experience. Direct supervisory experience of teams of at least eight (8) IT resources is required.
A minimum of five (5) years as head of technology at a mid-sized, multi-office law firm, including: leading and directing planning, budgeting, project management, legal technology applications, infrastructure, client support, legal research/library and litigation support.
Proven leadership and competence, solid resource delegation and project management, problem solving, decision making and strong communications and presentation skills, coupled with the ability to excel and achieve results in a fluid environment.
A strong client service approach to provide information technology and support services in a client focused environment.
Strong relationship development and management engagement with the Executive Director, business focused Technology Committee and firm management.
An ability to clearly identify and establish priorities consistent with user needs and strategic goals.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with all levels of the organization. Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience and provide guidance regarding appropriate and efficient technology use is essential for this position.
Ability to travel when necessary.
