As a Senior Private Markets Accountant based in Irvine, CA you will be involved in the full spectrum of responsibilities related to private equity fund accounting. You will be expected to challenge the status quo by identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements.
Plan, coordinate, and review the work of a third party fund administrator related to quarterly and annual fund financial statements, capital notices and other fund related activity
Ensure partner allocations including the calculation of carried interest are in accordance with limited partnership agreements
Analyze and prepare quarterly valuations of investment companies in accordance with GAAP
Perform cash management functions and cash flow analysis to support the investment process
Develop and apply knowledge of the fund limited partnership agreements, complex investment transactions, and investment structures
Coordinate and review work of overseas holding company administrators related to operational activity and statutory accounting and reporting
Prepare and respond to limited partner requests
Calculate and analyze investment and fund performance metrics
Participate in projects and team/department initiatives
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business is required; CPA is preferred
2-5 years accounting experience
Attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy in a deadline driven environment
Passion for problem solving and multi-tasking
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
