In collaboration with the Senior Management Team, work with Practice Area Leaders and others to drive process improvement utilizing the Firm's existing technology, identifying software packages/platforms to meet these needs, and evaluating alternative outsourcing options.
Building relationships and fostering collaborative approach to working with internal clients across practice groups and departments.
Driving and guiding the rollout and implementation of process improvements at both the practice area and firm-wide level, including developing timelines and training plans.
Helping to develop and implement project management tools that will aid attorneys and staff in the management of client matters.
Designing, developing, and delivering software applications training programs and individual classes for existing and new employees.
Coordinating with department heads and Administration to select members to assess departmental training needs and objectives.
Developing and coordinating an overall desktop applications training curriculum for end users of all levels and new courses for new and existing desktop applications, including course materials and exercises.
Presenting training sessions, creating and communicating training schedules, as well as tracking training participants' status and results.
Periodically review training materials and documentation and update as necessary. Developing alternative training methods as needed.
Creating and administering training event feedback mechanisms. Analyze results make recommendations for training improvement and integrating changes in curriculum and/or courses. Reporting on end user needs assessments and skills assessments.
Communicating software problems and issues to IT department colleagues.
In conjunction with Director of Information Technology, assessing and recommending courseware packages, and supporting development of appropriate courseware tools.
Staying up-to-date with developments in both commercial and custom-built desktop applications used by the firm while keeping abreast of trends in law firms and the legal industry.
Training, coaching, and mentoring attorneys and staff on process improvement and project management.
Assisting in skills assessments of attorneys and staff to develop and implement training plans utilizing Legal Mind and other tools.
Developing and coordinating an overall desktop applications training curriculum for end users. Creating awareness and educational materials and other communication touch points.
Organizing and conducting user surveys, analyzing and reporting on the data.
Working with Practice Area Leaders and IT Director on Technology Budget.
Establishing metrics for measuring and reporting success and performance of process improvement measures.
Providing help desk support as needed and training and policy and procedures for new hires.
Maintaining expertise on change management and user adoption as they apply to law firms.
Attending and participating in professional group meetings, maintaining awareness of new trends and developments in the industry, and makes recommendations on future practices and software needs to senior staff.
Attending and participating in Legal Technology Association meetings, seminars, and conferences.
Required Experience, Job Related Competencies, and Essential Knowledge:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional and presentation skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitudes.
Ability to present information and communicate (using business-friendly and user-friendly language) calmly, with courtesy and tact, in one-on-one and small group situations, with co?workers, attorneys, supervisors, clients, and others.
Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly, good and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to research course development and delivery concepts.
Very strong customer service orientation, good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives, and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Experience with building and maintaining course and participant databases.
Proven experience with adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques.
Experience with staff development and collaboration with human resources management, contract negotiation and vendor management.
Qualified candidates will have a thorough working knowledge of iCreate Suite, eCopy Desktop, Contract Express, Workflow systems, Legal Mind.
Candidates must be fully proficient in Worldox or similar Document Management System.
Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite (2010) and Windows Desktop OS is required.

Ability to influence others and move them toward a common vision.
Understanding of professional services organizational issues and challenges.
