The New York office is seeking an Attorney Recruiting & Professional Development Assistant to provide general administrative support to the NY office attorney recruiting and training departments, with a focus on lateral recruitment administrative functions.
Communicate and work closely with Lateral Recruiting Specialist within all practice areas regarding lateral needs
Schedule interviews and support collection of feedback and follow-up efforts
Send rejection letters
Maintain search firm contracts and list
Candidate data entry and proactive updates in Vi desktop database
Prepare candidate files and update as needed
Maintain New York lateral pipeline spreadsheets
Prepare recruiting reports as needed
Maintain list of current lateral attorney open positions
Assist with follow-up efforts for offer-recipient candidates
Assist with communications and outreaches to new hires
Assist with coordination of new hire orientation and on-boarding efforts
Prepare lateral hire paperwork including PAN notices and payroll orders
Request office set-up for new hires
Update and prepare orientation materials for each lateral attorney start date
Miscellaneous administrative duties such as filing, creating labels, scanning and copying
Attend Attorney Recruiting, Training & Development Department staff meetings
Assist with training & development projects as needed
Other duties or projects, as assigned
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; very strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results.
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Technical experience should include MS Word and Excel. Flexibility to work overtime is a must.
