We are currently seeking talented Attorney – Federal Regulations for our San Antonio, TX facility.
We are looking for a talented attorney to join our Corporate Regulatory Counsel team. This team is responsible for numerous regulatory, international, governance, corporate finance, and reinsurance matters that affect USAA and the Enterprise.
Applies general knowledge regarding relevant business, industry, and area of legal specialty. Handles a variety of routine to moderately complex legal assignments. Conducts legal research, and assists more senior attorneys in providing legal services. Provides locally optimized solutions with direction on legal issues for various internal clients. Handles routine to moderately complex negotiations, drafting, and document creation.
JD from an accredited law school. 4+ years Financial Services Regulatory legal experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and applicable software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. *Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.*

Prior experience in or with a regulatory agency, with particular deference to Federal and/or banking regulatory agencies. In lieu of experience with a Federal and/or banking regulatory agency, prior law firm or in-house counsel experience involving Federal and/or banking regulations. Prior experience with regulatory examinations or exam oversight, preferably Federal. Prior knowledge or experience regarding the Federal regulatory landscape, including but not limited to Dodd Frank implementation and related rules. Experience providing legal support in several of the following areas: financial institution capital and liquidity requirements, stress testing (DFAST/CCAR), resolution planning, recovery planning, or risk management.
