Lead the attorney recruitment and resource functions for the Eastern region – New York, Washington, D.C. and Charlotte offices. Provide leadership and management to lateral attorney recruiting, law student recruiting and summer associate program planning. Direct the implementation of attorney recruitment initiatives in the regional offices in conjunction with the Firm’s ARR team. Work closely with office managing partners and local practice group heads, the Hiring partners and committee, the Summer Chairs and committee, the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Directors of Administration, and senior leadership in the ARR Department. This position is based in New York. Regional traveling will be necessary to ensure hiring goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide leadership support for national hiring initiatives and a variety of communication initiatives, including development and production of recruiting materials, research gathering, maintain competitive data, as well as assist with programs and diversity initiatives also to include the development of strategic marketing initiatives to attract top legal talent;
Manage the robust orientation, onboarding and integration process for lateral attorneys and entry level associates;
Develop and maintain positive relationships with law school careers services personnel and search firm contacts to facilitate and support the Firm’s recruiting efforts;
Work with associates and firm management on issues related to associate lifecycle; • Provide leadership and support to the local office Hiring Committees;
Ensure that best practices established for the recruiting function are appropriately provided to those involved in recruiting initiatives;
Prepare and maintain an annual recruiting budget;
Supervise department staff in New York, Washington, D.C. and Charlotte;
Attend various Firm and department meetings and professional conferences as appropriate and approved by a Director of the department;
Ability to work successfully as a team within the regional offices and firm-wide Attorney Resources & Recruitment department.

Bachelor’s Degree required.
Seven plus years of law firm experience required.
Supervisory/Management experienced required.
Experience supervising two or more support personnel preferred. Experience managing multiple offices preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of NALP and industry-wide legal recruiting practices and standards as well as a familiarity with attorney development and training. Must be able to travel between offices as necessary. Must have exceptional judgment, professionalism, leadership, organization and team-management skills. Ability to positively represent and promote the Firm. Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills; strong management skills. Proficient in LawCruit, ViDesktop, MS Word, and MS Excel.
