Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our finance practice in the Firm's Washington, DC office. The successful candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in transactional work, corporate law or finance law at a large or mid-size law firm, in-house law department or governmental agency.
Examples of specific types of desired experience include the following:
-Representing companies and financial institutions in financing activities
-Providing advice to clients on structured transactions
-Advising clients on the acquisition or sale of portfolios of financial assets
-Representing parties to secured and unsecured credit facilities
-Understanding of commercial and securities law issues as they relate to finance transactions
-Representation of parties in financing transactions with a broad range of asset classes
The candidate should also possess impressive academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously negotiate and efficiently handle multiple projects; strong interpersonal, analytical, oral communication and writing skills as well as superior negotiating skills; and an understanding of business, industry and market issues. New York and DC Bar Admissions preferred.
