Elon University’s School of Law is currently accepting applications for a Clinical Practitioner in Residence Fellowship. Under the supervision of the HILC Director, manage the day-to day operations of Elon Law School’s Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic, a full-time legal clinic offering direct client services, focusing on refugee and asylum related federal benefits representation. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Extensive knowledge of the issues affecting refugees, asylees and other low-income immigrants; • Experience representing individuals with refugee and asylum related benefits including, affirmative asylum, refugee and asylum based adjustment of status, refugee/asylee family reunification, humanitarian parole, naturalization; • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; • Experience working with diverse constituencies (e.g., immigrant advocates, social services providers, attorneys, grassroots organizers, etc.); • Program and grants management experience; • Experience designing and conducting trainings for diverse audiences; • Second language capability preferred.
