Cozen O'Connor is seeking a full time Legal Recruiting Specialist. The position will reside in Philadelphia but be responsible for all offices. The ideal candidate will have law firm experience, preferably experience with law student recruiting. This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Legal Recruiting but will also work closely with the Associate Director of Professional Development and the Chief Legal Talent Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementation of law student recruiting and hiring efforts.
Coordinates the summer associate recruiting and hiring.
Reviews and screens resumes submitted by candidates.
Manages the scheduling of on-campus interviews (“OCI”).
Coordinates attorney information packets for OCI.
Coordinates interview schedules for law student candidates.
Plans, coordinates and attends summer program events, including substantive and social events.
Responsible for the overall functioning and accuracy of recruitment database (Vi) for entirety of the recruiting process and summer associate program:
Produces appropriate reports
Manages and update all automated forms and templates
Provides technical support and resolves Vi issues for department
Provides training to other users as needed
Assists in developing content for law student recruiting external web site and ensures site remains current.
Assists in coordinating arrangements and orientation for Fall Associates.
In conjunction with the Marketing Department, develops marketing materials for law student recruiting.
Keeps current on industry best practices impacting policy and the recruitment and retention of attorneys by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g., professional associations and educational groups, and professional development efforts).
Produces monthly, year-end, and ad hoc recruiting reports.
Assist with lateral associate recruiting including posting positions, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
Recruiting and retention projects as assigned by the Associate Director of Legal Recruiting
Assists in the annual evaluation process as needed.
Assists in coordinating logistics of associate onboarding and integration.
Assists with Professional Development tasks as requested.
