Facebook is seeking a talented attorney to join as Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment in our Employment Law Group. The position will report to the Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment and will be responsible for covering parts of our Technical and Engineering organizations, and will provide employment law support to our technical, product and/or engineering functions.
Advise and provide strategic support to HR Business Partners and business leaders on complicated hires, employee terminations, performance management, investigations, accommodations, reorganizations, agency charges, and other employment-related matters.
Interact with and advise Tech/Eng leadership to support company initiatives such as diversity strategies, manager development and other employee-related company goals.
Collaborate with other attorneys on the larger Tech and Employment law teams with respect to all advice and counseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners.
Participate in creation and delivery of trainings related to employment law matters, such as harassment training and other manager trainings on a variety of topics.
Draft and edit employment related documents, policies and processes.
Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters.
Travel throughout the US and internationally.
J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
8+ years of experience in labor and employment counseling and/or litigation
Employment litigation experience and experience coordinating and driving projects to completion (including litigations)
New York or California Bar Membership
In-house legal department experience
Experience with counseling on, or litigation related to, California and/or federal wage and hour laws
Experience with international employment law issues
