The Conflicts New Business Operations Specialist (CNB Operations Specialist) will play a lead role in developing systems and processes related to conflicts analysis and resolution, new business intake, lateral hire onboarding, and management of engagement terms with firm clients. Leveraging analysis of internal and external data sources and an in-depth operational knowledge of the conflicts and new business intake process, the CNB Operations Specialist will work with key stakeholders to develop reporting and analytic tools used to encourage compliance, increase standardization, and develop greater automation. Additionally, the CNB Operations Specialist will play an important role in applying emerging technologies to enhance business processes by using data-driven analysis to inform decision-making.
Develops an in-depth knowledge of conflicts, new business intake, lateral onboarding, and other risk management related processes and proactively identifies areas for improvement.
Works with business users (Conflicts Analysts and Conflicts Staff Attorneys) to facilitate requirements-gathering efforts, configuring systems to business specifications, and translating technical requirements for developers and external vendors.
Works with other departments and IT support on integrations and use of conflicts/new business data.
Develops complex reporting solutions necessary for tracking and analysis of conflicts and new business related KPIs and metrics.
Administers and develop procedures for ongoing maintenance of client/matter data, including building forms and reports for review and completion by responsible attorneys and other end users.
Document and develop data integrity protocols and help maintain data integrity in the systems by analyzing data and creating and running various audits
Develops and performs testing procedures necessary for implementation of and upgrades to risk management applications.

Education and/or Experience: Required:
Bachelor's Degree in field involving data analysis
A minimum of 4 years of experience doing systems and/or data analysis
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Proficiency in SQL and relational database management tools and concepts.
Experience with applications used for presenting and visualizing data and information (e.g., Cognos, Tableau).
Familiarity with applications and programming languages used for complex data management and analysis (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB, SPSS)
Large law firm experience and familiarity with law firm risk management applications used during conflicts and new business intake processes (esp. Intapp Open and Walls).
Experience managing medium- to large-scale projects in a professional services environment.
