The Manager, Tower & Technology Business Operations reports to the Senior Director, Technology and manages the day-to-day operations of the AU tower business with additional administrative support to the Senior Director and the WAMU technology department. This role coordinates the AU Tower business by acting as the primary representative for new and existing tower tenants and engages other AU departments to provide access and facilitate change requests. They collaborate with WAMU engineers to ensure all operational, regulatory compliance, financial, and real estate management needs of the AU Tower are met. Manages the execution and renewal of lease agreements, working with staff, brokers, external engineers, and attorneys. Ensures compliance with terms of all agreements, executes rent collections, and facilitates marketing of the tower. In addition, assists the broader WAMU technology department by managing purchasing activity, tracking assets, facilitating vendor repairs, providing backup helpdesk support, answering phones/email, and functioning as a primary liaison to the WAMU business administration department.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Technology at WAMU and has key relationships with the WAMU Assistant Director of Engineering, Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, and Assistant Director of Finance & Administration
Collaborates with AU departments including: Public Safety, Auxiliary Services, Planning & Project Management, Facilities Maintenance
Supports the business operations of the 12-person technology department overall
Maintains the real estate operations of a growing tower business with 10 current and up to 20 future tenants
This position maintains a 40-hour-per-week schedule
Must have reliable means and commitment for getting to WAMU regardless of weather conditions
This position is an essential staff person, periodically working outside of normal business hours
Will be occasionally required to respond remotely to business needs and occasionally respond in person off-hours if the situation warrants

Required Education and Experience
At least three years of relevant work experience
The ideal candidate will be proficient at the Microsoft Office suite, adept at communicating via multiple platforms in a timely manner, comfortable in a busy environment, responsive to the needs of the people they support, with a strong orientation toward service excellence
A strong customer service orientation
Demonstrated ability to maintain focus and organization under minimal supervision
Able to communicate effectively across a company
Understands how to triage and prioritize to meet the needs of a fast-paced office environment
Willingness to work hard and take direction—but also can creatively solve problems for which the answers aren’t always obvious. Able to strike an appropriate balance as an individual performer and as a member of a larger team. Comfortable in a key support role
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, in particular). Experience in Intuit QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms a plus.
Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with others using both written and spoken word
Preferred Education and Experience
Three-to-five years of real estate, financial / facilities management, or executive assistant experience
Experience working in commercial real estate or with tower / rooftop leasing
