Morrison & Foerster LLP, an Am Law 50 law firm with 16 offices worldwide, has an opening for an eDiscovery Document Review Staff Manager within our eDiscovery Resource Management Department in ourSan Francisco office.
Guided by department objectives and priorities, responsible for managing all aspects of temp attorney and document review staffing for electronic document reviews. Serve as the primary point of contact with temporary attorney agencies and management of process throughout the document review. Apply in-depth knowledge and experience to provide expert consultation and advice on electronic document review workflow, and best practices. Ensure client service and satisfaction is attained in all areas of position.
Work with case teams to provide temporary attorney and document review staff for all eDiscovery document review projects.
Manage logistics associated with temporary staffing for eDiscovery document review projects utilizing internal and external resources including:
Coordinate with temp agency vendors to staff document reviews
Review resumes and select qualified documents reviewers
Administer risk management forms and review for compliance
Liaise with client teams regarding client and temp agency bill rates
Liaise with vendor and internal functions regarding space and technology
Manage onboarding and off-boarding of temporary attorneys
Review temporary attorney weekly timecards, time entry and agency invoices for accuracy and processing.
Work with case teams to coordinate training for temporary attorneys on document review tool and case specific review protocols.
Ensure quality control methods are in place to monitor temporary attorney accuracy in document review work and address personnel issues relating to document review teams.
Collect, maintain and analyze rates and document review data to develop cost estimates and advise on maximizing efficiencies and cost reductions.
Evaluate the most efficient and cost effective use of firm and client resources to institutionalize and apply lessons learned regarding each document review project.
Develop and maintain guidelines and best practice regarding eDiscovery document review process documentation relating to internal processes, workflow, and support information.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
Litigation background with law firm experience working across multiple offices preferred.
