Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association (IECA), headquartered in Licking, MO is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer. IECA is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, located in Licking, Missouri, with approximately 30,000 retail electric meters in south central Missouri. The system maintains over 5,800 miles of distribution line. It has 115 employees, three offices with eight warehouses located in a 10 county area with annual revenue in excess of $54 million. IECA’s service area includes the largest dairy and beef producing area in the state, a timber industry, much of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways area, three municipals, and residential areas near a large university and military installation. IECA is one of nine member-owners of Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative, a transmission cooperative that receives almost all its power from Associated Electric Cooperative.
The CEO reports to a nine-member board of directors elected by the membership. Maintaining reasonable rates and striving to be a positive force in our communities are IECA’s primary objectives. The successful candidate needs to be able to communicate effectively with a diverse membership as well as team members. Candidate must be a proven leader of great integrity with strong management, mentoring, and team building experience. Candidate must have strong business insight with an ability to grasp complex industry specific and general business practices and their impact on the membership. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with energy and regulatory issues on a state or national level. An understanding and respect of the cooperative principals and business model is desired. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field and a minimum of five years of experience in the electric industry at a senior management level.
The cooperative headquarters is in Licking, MO., halfway between St. Louis and Branson. Licking is a friendly rural community relatively close to larger cities, activities, and located closely to rivers, hunting, and outdoor recreations.
