Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate The Promise Early Learning Network Coordinator will bring a community organizing and business development background to coordinate the Early Learning Network, a coalition of early learning programs working to increase quality and capacity in the neighborhood, and the Sunset Park Family Daycare Cooperative, a cooperative that provides home-based care to infants, toddlers and pre-school children. This is a full-time position.
Facilitate the movement of the Early Learning Network (ELN), connecting directors to each other, expanding the network to include family day care providers, staying abreast of early childhood public policy and city funding.
Facilitate and coordinate monthly meetings with the ELN.
Work with the ELN Developmental and School-Readiness Specialist to facilitate the annual Early Learning Network professional development series.
Work with development team and Promise leadership on fundraising and grant development for programs directly related to the role. This includes Promise committee meetings, site visits, writing, and program development.
Coordinate the process of legal incorporation and governance of the Family Daycare Cooperative with attorneys.
Support Coop members with meeting facilitation and coordination, democratic decision making, mediation and marketing strategy.
Cultivate new and nurture existing relationships with partner organizations. Coordinate services for early learning network based on needs identified.
Work with the Data Research Analyst to manage inclusion of all programs in longitudinal database and conduct assessments of the impact programs.
Use strong facilitation skills to support relationships with multiple stakeholders and Coop worker/owners to ensure that the needs of families, schools and staff are met.
Other related duties as assigned by Promise leadership.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred. Concentrations in early childhood education, community development or related field is preferred Demonstrated work experience in community coordinating (3-5 years preferred)
