Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an adept Business Systems Application Manager to join our Technology team. The incumbent is considered to be a top-level contributor who is primarily responsible for managing the software portfolio for Perkins Coie, which consists of over 350 unique software applications and systems. They develop and maintain roadmaps and operational plans needed to ensure the efficacy of the Firm’s software portfolio. As part of managing that portfolio, they are responsible for defining, implementing, and managing maintenance, upgrade, replacement, and retirement cycles. They oversee the design and maintenance of application test scripts and are also responsible for establishing key-performance indicators for mission-critical systems. They lead efforts that integrate across diverse teams, concerns, and business groups to accomplish firm-wide goals.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Recommends and plans software implementations, upgrades, and retirements for firm-wide systems.
Manage a team of business and application analysts.
Formulates, coordinates and defines technical, system, and operational architectures for the enterprise-wide applications.
Plans, coordinates, and facilitates working sessions to gather business requirements; documents end-user requirements including user roles and process models.
Gathers, evaluates, and analyzes product and process information from vendors, outside consultants, product literature, and other firms.
Advises stakeholders of the advantages and disadvantages of design options.
Develops and manages detailed project plans that enables the organization to translate system designs into working systems.
Provides specialized training to attorneys and staff regarding systems they manage.

Demonstrated ability to interpret complex systems and technical documentation and provide understandable summaries to non-technical staff.
Ability to plan and facilitate requirements analysis sessions that include both technical and non-technical personnel.
Outstanding written communication skills and the ability to work with standardized templates and methods.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations to non-technical audiences.
Experience working with Business Analysis methodologies and tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools.
Education & Experience:
Requires a minimum of ten years of related business systems analysis and management experience. Requires a minimum of eight years of experience in a large law firm setting. Requires a working expertise with a wide-array of litigation support software. Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related discipline; formal training in business analysis and project management.
