Assist with all aspects of lateral hiring, including but not limited to:
Draft job postings for open positions
Track all open positions
Pre-screen resumes for qualified candidates and conduct phone interviews when necessary
Coordinate interview process
Ensure completion of all pre-hire due diligence (new attorney questionnaire, client list, verification of bar standing, reference checking, etc.)
Assist with the background check process
Assist with offer process and tracking of correspondence
Coordinate the lateral orientation and integration process
Summer Associate Program:
Coordinate all aspects of Summer Associate Program including, but not limited to:
Assist with planning, facilitating and attending all social events and training programs
Assist with the orientation process
Track work assignments and evaluations
Draft offer letters and track correspondence
Coordinate all aspects of the Fall Recruiting Program including, but not limited to:
Coordinate with various law schools to schedule interview dates
Plan pre- and post- on-campus interview (OCI) receptions
Arrange travel and interview schedules for candidates and interviewing attorneys
Conduct correspondence and follow-up with candidates
Prepare National Association for Law Placement forms
Communicate with outside vendors (career websites, etc.)
Maintain relationships with peers at competitive firms, including membership in National Association for Law Placement
Assist with central databases to track new hire information (videsktop, website, etc.)
Special projects as requested
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
One to three years of recruitment experience in a law firm or professional services environment. Event/marketing related experience a plus.
Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter a plus.
Outstanding organizational and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously under strict time constraints.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Ability to work well with attorneys and staff on an ongoing basis while providing the highest level of customer service.
Overtime will be required during periods of high workload.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel offsite to areas not accessible by public transportation required.
