The Management, HR and Information Systems Area of the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure track, academic year position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the primary area of Information Systems (IS). Preference will be given to applicants who have strong teaching interest in one or more of the following fields: business analytics, database management, programming and telecommunications.
In addition to undergraduate courses in Information Systems, applicants must be prepared to teach graduate level courses.

Minimum Qualifications (Staff Only):
The successful candidate must have completed a doctorate or equivalent degree in Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution. ABD will be considered but the PhD/DBA should be awarded by the time of appointment starts. Applicants are expected to demonstrate exemplary teaching, a strong publication record and research pipeline, and currency in their professional field. Must have the ability to work with diverse students and/or engaging diversity in the curriculum.
Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.
