Boutique law firm in the Gables seeks an Attorney with at least 3 years of business immigration experience. Candidate must be organized, efficient, motivated, fast learner, able to take initiative, multi-tasker, personable with excellent writing skills and able to work independently. Manage all legal services and immigration matters with clients including the preparation of non-immigrant visa petitions such as B-1, B-2, E1, E2, E3, F-1, H-1-B, H1-C, H-2A, H-2B, H-3, L-1, O, P, TD and TN.
Manage drafting petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification and other immigration benefits.
Analyze case documents and manage preparation of various types of applications for filing with the appropriate government agency.
Draft, review and file court pleadings including legal motions, petitions, briefs and immigration applications.
Conduct interviews with clients (corporate and individual) regarding immigration issues and concerns.
Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States.
Prepare petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL) for nonimmigrant and immigrant status for foreign national employees.
Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
Supervise the work of paralegal staff in recordkeeping and document preparation.
Other duties as required.
Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited U.S. law school.
Active status in a State Bar Association.
At least 3 years of experience in the area of business immigration required.
RFE Response, PERM, H1-B experience a plus.
Current membership with a bar of any of the fifty states in the U.S. (preferably Florida).
