Our Firmwide Practice Services department has an opportunity for a Knowledge Management Analyst in our Columbus or Atlanta office. The Knowledge Management Analyst will leverage innovative technologies and processes to execute on defined business use cases to help the Firm better serve its clients and create a competitive advantage. This role will support key projects, teams, or initiatives focusing on improving process across all five-practice areas. This role will aid in the process of transforming legal services with advanced technology by executing upon defined processes to automate workflow.
The main responsibilities are:
Manage projects to include project planning, mapping, and execution of required specifications.
Facilitate taking business requirements and translating those needs to key developers as well as helping to build or configure appropriate solutions.
Ensure expertise in technology and workflow solutions relevant to the position. Manage projects to include project planning and requirement specifications.
Identify and evaluate best in class advanced technology tools that align with the strategic imperatives of the Firm and provide attorneys with opportunities to increase efficiency when serving clients.
Proactively use most current technology to further teamwork, client service, and efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree, J.D., and at least three years of related experience required; Law firm experience highly desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel. Demonstrated proficiency with PowerPoint and Access or other database applications desirable. Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
Strong understanding of advanced technologies and trends in the industry as they pertain to law firms; demonstrated knowledge of the range of technologies available to deliver superior legal services. Thorough understanding of technologies that can be applied to firm operations and enhance working efficiency.
Strong Internet research skills. Demonstrated ability to use legal and financial research systems.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented. Strong analytical and communication skills both oral and written. Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
Experience using online Project Management tools and Project Management experience, carrying projects through the entire lifecycle, and process improvement experience essential. Agile process methodology or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
Ability to speak effectively with all levels of clients and professional and support staff. Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients and staff, and to exhibit a high degree of responsiveness, diplomacy and professionalism in these interactions.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from all levels of professional and support staff, clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, procedure manuals, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, financial reports, and legal documents.
