Position Summary:

The Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Coordinator (“Coordinator”) supports talent management functions for all legal professionals at the firm, including attorneys, patent agents and technical advisors.  Mainly, the Coordinator helps administer all aspects of recruiting, hiring, orientation, training, diversity and inclusion, performance reviews and promotions.  In addition, the Coordinator assists with the hiring of senior level administrative management positions.  This is a highly visible role that works with much autonomy under the direct guidance of the Director of Legal Recruiting and Retention. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate hiring process for attorneys, summer associates, technical advisors and patent agents, including orientation and onboarding.
• Coordinate all aspects of fall recruiting and on-campus interviewing and schedule callback interviews.
• Coordinate summer associate program, including orientation, assignment tracking, organizing and attending events.
• Coordinate annual performance reviews for all non-partner legal professionals and assist with partner elevation process.
• Serve as firm administrator for viRecruit, viEval, and viLMS databases.
• Organize and attend internal CLE lecture series; pursue accreditation; and track compliance for firm attorneys.   

Qualifications:

• 2 years of recruiting and/or professional development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with viGlobal, LinkedIn Recruiter, ADP (HR database) and/or ability to master new software programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, and ability to interface professionally and courteously with candidates and all firm members.
• Superior attention to detail and sound business judgment.
• Highly organized and ability to multi-task while prioritizing work assignments.
• Ability to quickly adapt to change in a dynamic and fluid environment.
• Ability to work independently and creatively with minimal supervision.
