The Recruiting department offers the opportunity for an Associate Director to join an innovative and collaborate team focused on supporting firmwide recruiting and talent development by providing strategic direction for local associate recruiting while executing firmwide initiatives. The Associate Director of Recruiting will work collaboratively and directly with relevant partners, senior staff, and other stakeholders around the firm to identify needs and ensure the programs and services are world-class.

Candidates will have the following responsibilities:
Lateral Attorney Hiring
Collaborate with lawyers to determine hiring needs and source candidates
Review candidate resumes, coordinate interview schedules, and take part in interviews
Serve as firm liaison for candidates
Prepare offer packages, welcome letters, and announcements for new hires
Manage relationships with search firms
Summer Associate Hiring and Summer Program
Manage on-campus interviews
Cultivate and maintain relationships with law school career offices and raise the profile of King & Spalding on campus
Prepare all necessary NALP forms, hiring criteria narratives, and one-page resumes
Lead Hiring Committee meetings, present applicant files; calculate and maintain hiring statistics
Develop on-campus and Spring recruiting initiatives (student receptions, speaking engagements, etc.)
Review work assignments and manage work evaluations
Oversee and promote all social events
Develop and manage Atlanta annual Recruiting budget
Participate in firm-wide Recruiting initiatives
Keep abreast of key market issues and trends. Track information and analyze competitive data, best practices and trends to make recommendations to adopt when appropriate.
Successful Candidates are detail oriented, efficient and have the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment. Candidates should have sophisticated analytical and quantitative abilities, including the ability to use tools such as Excel and demonstrate the ability to problem solve. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel. Candidates should have the ability to quickly grasp the culture and organizational structures of the firm and assimilate information quickly. Ideal candidates are required to have a J.D. and at least 2+ years of experience in a senior professional development/talent management role in a law firm or other professional services environment. Candidates without a J.D. will also be considered if they have an undergraduate degree and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar senior role in a professional services firm. Candidates without professional development/ talent management experience will be considered if they have a J.D. and at least 5 years’ experience as a practicing lawyer in a law firm.
