The City of Green Bay Law Department is seeking an Assistant City Attorney (Legislative Attorney) to determine legal policies and procedures; provide legal advice to legislative body, committees, commissions, boards, authorities, and City departments; and work with elected officials on legal inquires and projects as assigned by the City Attorney.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication skills as well as problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Hiring Range: $66,851-$74,713
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. plus additional hours as required. This position may be required to attend evening meetings.
No residency requirement.

Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA accredited law school.
Two (2) years experience in municipal law and legislation preferred.
License to practice law in the State of Wisconsin.
Admitted to practice law in federal courts at the time of hire or within 1 year of hire date.
Compliance with continuing education requirements.
Notary public commission.
Must have acceptable personal and professional history as determined by successfully completing a background investigation.
A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered.
