Our mid-sized law firm in Los Angeles (Century City) is searching for a Director of Administration who can cultivate the culture our company needs and steer us in the right direction as we grow. This management professional will work collaboratively with firm leadership to ensure the effective daily operations of the office, ensuring the needs of attorneys, staff and clients are being met.
Providing office leadership and serving as an effective change agent as the office continues to grow
Developing, implementing and managing strategic and operational planning, including establishing operations goals and objectives to improve efficiency, client services, staffing, and effective support services
Workflow management; ensuring lawyers and staff have needed resources to support client work
Developing and managing the office’s operating budget and negotiating vendor contracts to ensure cost effectiveness
Ensuring law firm is conducting business in full compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standard
Partnering with IT to keep computer system running smoothly
Supervise inventory and ordering of office supplies and equipment
Assisting with office space planning and managing facilities projects as necessary
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Master’s degree preferred
5-7 years’ experience in management role in legal environment
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with company specific software
Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
Strong communications skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team and ability to lead, influence and motivate others
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands
Exceptional interpersonal skills
