The International Employment Specialist/HR Generalist is responsible to advise international faculty and scholars on immigration related matters and works closely with academic departments to support employment strategies of international faculty and scholars. In collaboration with the University's immigration attorney consultants and Provost Office, the International Employment Specialist/HR Generalist assists international faculty and scholars with the filing of immigration petitions, H-1B Visas and for permanent residency. Additionally, the International Employment Specialist/HR Generalist supports a range of HR functions and programs, especially compensation and supports the HR Client Services Team. This is a 20 hour per week position reporting to the Assistant Director of Client Services.
1.BA in Human Resource, Business or other related field. 2. Experience working in an HR environment. 3.Basic working knowledge of federal and state employment laws 4.Effective organizational, analytical, quantitative, multi-tasking, and time management 5.Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to deliver challenging messages in a positive and influential manner 6.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality 7.Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse workforce
