This position provides administrative support including electronic docketing of patent information and documentation related to intellectual property processes and agreements such as inventorship and assignment documents, distribution, due diligence and Patent and Trademark (PTO) filings, etc.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the creation, input, and maintaining of records in intellectual Property (IP) docket and case management systems
Interface with internal groups, WashU researchers and outside counsel to provide and obtain information regarding IP matters; capturing official correspondence in the Office of Technology Management database
Assist in the distribution and receipt of documents associated with invention disclosures and the patenting process, including assignments, declarations and power of attorneys (POAs)
Assist in the docketing and receipt of documents associated with the patent process; prepare and distribute docket reports as necessary
