The CNB (Conflicts/New Business) Business Analyst will play a critical role in the development of systems and tools used for the acceptance of new business and ongoing maintenance of client/matter information. The BA will provide process improvement support by developing an in-depth operational knowledge of conflicts, new business intake and client/matter maintenance processes and procedures. Based on this knowledge, the BA will work with key stakeholders to develop reporting and analytic tools to encourage compliance, standardization and efficiency. This position requires process improvement experience as well as project management capability, along with the interpersonal skills required to work with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and prioritize with broader firm strategic objectives.
Develops an in-depth knowledge of conflicts, new business intake, lateral onboarding and other risk management related processes. Proactively identifies areas for improvement.
Works with business users (Conflicts Analysts and Conflicts Staff Attorneys) to facilitate requirements, including but not limited to, gathering efforts, configuring systems to business specifications and translating technical requirements for developers and external vendors.
Works with other departments on integrations and use of conflicts/new business data.
Develops complex reporting solutions necessary for tracking and analyzing conflicts and new business related metrics.
Administers and develop procedures for ongoing maintenance of client/matter data, including building forms and reports for review and completion by responsible attorneys and other end users.
Documents and develops data integrity protocols and helps maintain data integrity in the systems by analyzing data and creating and running various audits/reports.
Develops and performs testing procedures necessary for implementation of and upgrades to risk management applications.

Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Experience developing data analyses and reporting solutions
Proficiency in SQL and relational database management tools and concepts
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Large law firm experience and familiarity with law firm risk management applications used during conflicts and new business intake processes (esp. Intapp).
Experience managing medium- to large-scale projects in a professional services environment.
