The Child and Family Advocacy Clinic at the Camden location of Rutgers Law School is seeking a full-time Staff Attorney for a grant-funded project. With approved funding for 2 years under the Victim of Crime Act, the Staff Attorney will handle a caseload of family law and immigration matters for child victims of crime, abuse, neglect, trafficking and family violence in southern New Jersey. The Staff Attorney will handle intake, case management, grant reports, attend regional meetings for child victims, build collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and design and deliver informational sessions for families and professionals about related legal issues. The Staff Attorney will be based in Camden but significant travel and time outside of the office will be required to meet with clients, attend court hearings, participate in meetings and provide trainings throughout the region. The Staff Attorney will report to and be supervised by the Director of the Child and Family Advocacy Clinic.
Minimum Education and Experience:
JD; licensed attorney in New Jersey with at least 8 years of family law experience; at least 5 years serving as a Law Guardian in NJ; valid driver’s license with access to car
