Proskauer is seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator in the Los Angeles office to provide support to the Firm’s Professional Resources Department. The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will work directly with the Manager of Legal Recruiting and be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Firm’s lateral attorney, new associate, and summer associate recruiting efforts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare for and execute fall and spring recruiting activities, including: completing all registration applications; planning hospitality suite functions; coordinating interviewer trainings and meetings; preparing all on-campus interview (OCI) materials and shipments; identifying outreach opportunities; planning and attending law school panels, receptions, and recruitment dinners; cultivating relationships with career services offices and law student organizations
Plan and administer the summer program, including onboarding summer associates
Coordinate and attend social events and training programs
Maintain summer associate assignment and evaluation databases; support assignment distribution; collect and file summer work product; prepare for summer associate reviews; off-board summer associates
Enter and maintain candidate information in the legal recruiting application software (viRecruit), track candidates, generate, revise, and track correspondence; schedule interviews and collect evaluations; coordinate follow-up efforts
Prepare materials for hiring meetings including candidate documents, statistical reports, work assignment reports, summer work product, and weekly updates
Track lateral searches and agency fee agreements; correspond with recruiters; process submissions; on-board new attorney hires
Prepare statistical reports; maintain and update marketing materials; complete the NALP form and industry surveys; conduct market research; distribute surveys and analyzing results
Provide support for professional development, diversity, and pro bono initiatives as needed
Bachelor’s degree required
1-2 years of experience in a professional services environment preferred
Availability to work outside of normal business hours to support departmental need, especially during the peak season (May-September)
Ability to prioritize and execute multiple, time-sensitive tasks and work well independently and as a team in a high pressured and unpredictable environment with a wide range of professionals
Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, including sound judgment and integrity, high degree of discretion, poised and welcoming presence, and service-minded
Ability to assume responsibility for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required; viDesktop knowledge preferred
