Franklin County Children Services is seeking an experienced attorney, licensed in the State of Ohio to fill the position of chief legal counsel. Primary responsibilities include managing a staff of 65 employees in the legal department, human resources department and professional development department. Employee is a member of the Agency’s executive team; provides legal support to the Executive Director and Board; advises Agency staff on matters of law and administrative rule; participates in the development and implementation of Agency policies consistent with current state and federal law. Employee participates in labor negotiations on behalf of management. Employee is responsible for management and work product of all departments supervised. Ten plus years of experience in child welfare law and juvenile law; and some employment law experience is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to cultural diversity, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, an ability to meet organizational goals.
