The Charlotte office of McGuireWoods seeks an Associate to assist with providing regulatory advice and counseling to the firm's financial services clients.
McGuireWoods LLP is a national leader in representing financial services companies in complex regulatory counseling and enforcement actions. Within the Charlotte office and throughout our 23 offices, McGuireWoods’ attorneys work collaboratively to vigorously represent and defend their clients. The Charlotte office is looking for an associate with regulatory experience who is willing to take on these challenges and become part of a team. Our practice is national in scope and presents opportunities for young associates to develop industry knowledge, learn client development and enforcement and regulatory counseling skills and take an active role in all aspects of matters.
Qualified candidates will have 2-5 years of regulatory advising and/or regulatory enforcement experience. Experience with a financial services regulator (especially OCC, CFPB, SEC or FRB) preferred. Experience in the financial services industry and candidates who have served as judicial law clerks would be considered a plus. Strong writing and research skills, excellent academic credentials and admission to the North Carolina bar are required. Please submit cover letter, resume and law school transcript.
