We are looking for an exceptionally talented Counsel to be based in AQR's Greenwich, CT office. Reporting directly to the Head of Private Funds and Managed Accounts, the successful candidate will take a lead role in:
Negotiating investment management agreements, reviewing fund documentation and side letters, and structuring various institutional products.
Advising on various legal matters relating to the activities of the firm and supporting the firm's institutional asset management business.
Collaborating extensively with internal teams on all matters related to the above. What You'll Bring
Outstanding academic credentials
Member in good standing of state bar
3 or more years at a major international law firm or institutional asset manager
Currently on a career break of one year or more
Experience structuring and advising hedge funds and negotiating investment management agreements for separately managed accounts preferred
Excellent business sense and demonstrated ability to apply legal knowledge in a business context
