Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Recruiting Assistant will assist two managers, the Firmwide Manager of Law School Recruiting and the Chicago Office Recruiting Manager, with all aspects of summer associate program recruiting. Among his or her job responsibilities, the Recruiting Assistant will assist with all aspects of the Firm’s national and local law school recruiting efforts. The Recruiting Assistant will also assist the Chicago Office Recruiting Manager with the planning and execution of the Chicago office’s summer associate program. The Recruiting Assistant will interact daily with the recruiting department, office management, law students, law school career services offices, and Jones Day lawyers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties are performed throughout every workday, as necessary): Assist with planning and execution of the Chicago summer associate program, including: • Attend summer associate meetings and events as required by the Recruiting Manager • Prepare materials for events • Prepare reports and presentations regarding summer associate program • Organize and maintain summer associate program files and paperwork Assist with the planning and execution of law school and lateral recruiting, including: • Prepare and coordinate recruiting materials • Assist with on-campus interview scheduling and administration Assist with the organization and tracking of candidate information, including: • Maintain candidate database and files • Interact with firmwide recruiting regarding processing candidate applications Assist with budgeting and expense reports, including: • Assist with processing recruiting department expense reports and reimbursements • Prepare check requests and secure reimbursements; coordinate with outside recruiting departments regarding the same • Assist with new hire pre-arrival and orientation processes • Support national law school recruiting efforts as directed by the Associate Director • Assist with communications, hotel arrangements, and event planning • Prepare charts and reports • Monitor expenses • Prepare materials for on-campus law school interviews and events • Enter candidate data; monitor candidates |
