The Atlanta, Georgia office of a national, Am Law 100 law firm seeks an Immigration Specialist/Paralegal to work with attorneys in its business immigration practice. The ideal candidate has a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and 5 plus years of experience with employment-based immigration matters, specifically in preparing H-1B, Ls, Es, TNs, I-140s, and AOSs. Strong PERM experience required.
Tasks performed, may include:
Assist with employment-based cases, as well as some family-based and naturalization cases;
Draft forms and support letters for review by attorneys and senior team members;
Prepare petition and application packages for final review and signature by attorney’s before submission to government agencies;
Organize and maintain accurate records in immigration case management systems for all assigned matters;
Review intake documentation needed for specific case types to ensure accuracy and completeness; and
Perform statutory, regulatory, case law and public records research to understand legal requirements that apply to specific cases, when necessary.
Experience in Immigration Tracker or similar software program desired;
Fluency in Korean a plus;
Excellent case management and organizational skills;
Proficient with technology;
Strong communications and writing skills with attention to detail;
Experience with both NIV and IV RFE response preparation required; and
Paralegal certification or degree from accredited college or university is preferred.
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience.
