Position Overview: Ciena seeks an experienced Corporate Counsel to provide advice and support on a wide range of legal and business matters relating to the strategy and operations of Ciena’s Supply Chain & Procurement organization and internal corporate functions. The attorney will have a multi-faceted role spanning support for all aspects including supply chain, procurement (direct and indirect), manufacturing, research and development and operations.
Experience: The successful candidate will have 3-8+ years of experience with a law firm and/or a corporate legal department supporting a software and software-related services business. Significant experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of software-related commercial and technology agreements, including SaaS agreements is required. Candidates must be a member in good standing of at least one state bar association.
Compensation: Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
Location: This attorney can telecommute/work remotely on a full-time basis in the Eastern or Central time zones in the United States or Canada. This individual would be expected to travel to attend periodic business meetings (e.g., quarterly business reviews). Candidates local to Hanover, MD or Austin, TX and interested in non-remote positions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
