The Chicago office is seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator as a member of the Firmwide (FW) Legal Recruiting and Development Department. The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will provide support to the legal recruiting efforts of the Chicago office.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills; be a team player; demonstrate strong client service; have the utmost respect for confidentiality and attention to detail; work independently and be able to follow up with minimal instructions; have the ability to prioritize work and work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment; interact with potential recruits, attorneys and staff at all levels of the Firm’s business; strong organizational skills, demonstrate initiative and work under pressure and deal with demanding deadlines. Individual must have the ability to work overtime.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)
Summer Associate Program
Coordinate Summer Associate orientation
Plan, coordinate and attend events
Track Summer Program budget
Liaise between the Summer Associates and the attorneys and staff
Coordinate rising 2L receptions
Coordinate offer dinners, pre-OCI receptions
Assist in preparation for callback meetings
Maintain ViDesktop records
Supervise temps and interns when applicable
Assist with New Associate Orientation as needed
Generate new event and venue ideas
Coordinate Diversity Scholars and LCLD Scholars application process
Maintain recruiting timeline for events and projects
Respond to inquiries from attorneys/staff, as needed
Assist with administrative support
Respond actively, thoroughly and courteously to the needs of clients and internal requests within the firm; volunteer time and knowledge; work effectively and willingly with others.
Education, Work Experience, Skills
Minimum two to four years of experience, preferably in law firm or other professional services environment. Event planning experience required. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Experience with Symplicity and ViDesktop preferred.Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
