Small Manhattan immigration law firm seeks associate attorney to handle O-1, EB-1A, family immigration and naturalization matters. Limited immigration court appearances may be required in near term. Position entails an initial six month probationary period followed by full-time offer and salary increase for right candidate. Telecommuting permitted 1 to 2 days per week.
Candidate must be admitted to practice and should ideally possess 1 to 5 years of experience in immigration law with a strong desire to learn. Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong time management skills. Firm represents a diverse range of organizations and individuals in the music, film, television and advertising industries and candidate must have exceptional communications skills and the ability to manage expectations of demanding clientele. Strong writing skills are an absolute must. Some local and national travel required in connection with USCIS appearances.
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: Probationary salary for six months, after which permanent salary to be negotiated. Employer contribution to firm medical insurance plan.
