Established central Virginia and Shenandoah Valley law firm that highly values its employees seeks a full-time, long-term, motivated employee for its Harrisonburg, Virginia office. Candidates must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and at least five years of experience in real estate closings, preferably commercial real estate. Experience with land conservation projects is a plus, but not required. Primary responsibilities include assisting the firm’s attorneys and other real estate team members by preparing settlement statements and other closing documents; ordering and reviewing title; drafting deeds, loan documents, and other agreements and coordinating closing logistics. The employee will interact directly with clients on behalf of the firm. Experience and demonstrated ability to provide accurate and detailed work product is required. Successful candidates must understand and maintain client confidentiality and information safeguarding. Excellent word processing, GIS research, oral and written communication, and proofreading skills required; Experience with SoftPro or other settlement software and Clerk’s Office research tools helpful.
